yea,  i'm  a  bit  of  a  geek  when  it  comes  to  gadgets/electronics  stuff.   But  yea,  you  cant  tell  the  contrast  ratio...thats  just  an  approximate  value  that  the  manufacturer  gives  it...also  what  makes  LCDs,  plasmas,  and  even  DLPs  so  amazing  is  the  new  incorporated  technology  and  the  amount  of  "lines"  compared  to  CRT  sets.   The  more  lines  that  the  new  HD  TVs  have  makes  it  a  lot  better  to  see  the  details  into  almost  every  show  and  what  not...but  if  you  do  get  an  HDtv...you  might  as  well  get  the  HD  cable  box  from  your  cable  company,  or  satelite....(Direct  TV  is  where  its  at  btw.)

Anyway,  thanks  for  the  ideas  guys.  Will  definitely  keep  them  in  mind.
The  HDTV  is  mostly  for  gaming  and  possibly  movies  (my  DVD  player  is  laying  around,  I  don't  feel  like  setting  it  up  =P)
I  got  satellite  but  there  really  isn't  anything  on  the  TV  for  the  need  of  HDTV,  not  even  a  football  game.

You  get  an  HDTV  to  say  you  have  an  HDTV,  not  because  there  is  a  need  for  it!   Duh  Nike!  Cool

Well  from  500$  I  got  350$  left.  So  much  for  the  HDTV  lol
-Reserved  Battlefield:  Bad  Company  for  the  Xbox  360
-Bought  the  G15  Keyboard.  I  know  this  thing  is  like  so  yesterday  but  god  damn,  I've  been  missing  out.  For  some  it  is  just  another  keyboard.  For  a  WoW  it  is  awesome  and  for  Battlefield  2142  it  is  pretty  nice.

Quake  isn't  compatible  with  the  G15  tho  =(
I  was  going  to  bind  my  ref  and  recording  binds  on  the  G  buttons...
