 I  don't  know  if  this  should  be  in  here,  but  it  seems  like  philosophy  and  thats  a  type  of  writing  thing,  anyways  here  it  goes.

 What  would  happen  if  an  unstoppable  force  collided  with  an  immovable  object?

 and  it  bounce  off,  cause  in  order  to  do  that  it  HAS  to  stop

 It  sort  of  depends  upon  the  shape  of  the  immovable  object  hehe..  Which  direction  it's  forced  to  move.  For  if  the  objecct  itself  isn't  perfectly  flat  which  is  highly  unlikely  given  the  force  could  come  from  at  an  angle,  it  is  very  doubtful  that  the  unstoppable  force  will  even  make  a  full  stop  upon  contact  since  it's  just  being  redirected  at  a  new  direction..

 K!kyo  is  right.  If  the  unstoppable  force  comes  in  at  any  angle  that  is  not  perpendicular  to  the  surface  of  the  immovable  object,  the  force  will  be  redirected  back  out  at  the  same  angle  with  which  it  came  in,  and  will  NOT  have  to  be  stopped  in  order  to  do  so.  PHYSICS  FTW!!

 Force  ---->  |Object

 Force|Object

 ecroF  <-----  |Object

 that's  how  it'd  go.  Or  the  energy  will  be  transferred  to  the  object  which  then  will  go  up/down/through  it,  or  bounce  the  object  back.

 Well..  If  that  were  the  case  Senator..  then  the  force  would  just  stay  stuck  to  the  object  from  whatever  is  fueling  its  unlimited  momentum..  It's  speed  would  drop  to  0,  but  it  will  still  be  moving  in  place  until  just  the  slightest  change  in  the  objects  angle  occurs.  I  guess  it  would  be  considered  stopping  if  it  stays  contained  at  one  spot  without  going  anywhere.  Of  course  if  there  was  an  impact  at  first,  it  probably  might  bounce  off  in  the  exact  opposite  direction  only  to  return  again  after  changing  directions  back  towards  the  object  just  like  how  a  ball  bounces  off  the  ground  and  eventually  heads  back  down  to  the  floor  again.  But  being  as  you  mentioned  it  being  an  unstoppable  force,  that  is  unlikely  to  occur  and  it  will  just  stick  to  the  object  like  super  glue  in  the  end.

 it  can't  stop,  and  it  can't  bounce  cause  it  has  to  stop  inorder  to  bounce.

 to  be  honest  i've  asked  my  physics  teacher  last  year  and  she  said  that  the  universe  will  implode  (Confused),  then  i  asked  the  head  physics  teacher  at  our  school  (he  wrote  the  physics  text  book).  and  he  said  that  he  doesn't  know  what  will  happen.  and  i've  even  put  it  up  on  to  physics  forums  and  stuff  and  got  no  logical  answers.  most  of  the  answers  are  like  what  you  guys  have  givin,  like  bouncing  off,  or  going  through.  but  the  immovable  object  means  that  it  none  of  it's  molecules  move,  and  inorder  to  make  a  hole  for  the  force  to  go  through  you  would  need  to  rearrage  the  molecular  structure  of  the  immoveable  object.

 its  impossible  to  tell  what  would  happen  because  there  is  no  realistic  scenario  in  which  this  can  occur.

 There  are  no  immovable  objects  in  this  world,  just  as  there  are  no  unstoppable  forces.

 thinking  about  some  more,  IF  THIS  WERE  TO  OCCUR  in  some  shape  or  form,  it  seems  like  the  entire  force  from  the  unstoppable  force  would  be  converted  into  a  frictonal  force  between  the  surface  on  which  the  object  rests  and  the  object  itself,  against  the  direction  of  motion  that  the  immovable  object  would  have  taken  on  that  surface,  thereby  keeping  the  immovable  object  at  rest  and  preserving  the  entire  force  from  the  unstoppable  force,  just  now  as  friction  instead.

 well  i  know  it's  not  realiztic,  you  just  have  to  use  your  imagination,  thats  why  i  said  what  if..

 so  what  you  are  saying  is  that  the  force  will  be  turned  into  friction  against  the  object?  if  so,  then  that  cannot  happen  either  because  the  force  is  perpendicular  to  the  object  and  is  headed  straight  for  it,  and  can't  change  the  force  unless  the  force  changes  state  of  matter.

 As  I  have  said  before  in  my  last  post,  The  unstoppable  force  will  not  move  from  its  spot  upon  the  flat  surface  of  the  immovable  object,  unless  interefered  with  by  some  outside  force.  (Which  was  not  mentioned  anyways  so  no  need  to  worry  about  that).

 Also  i  agree  that  there  can't  be  any  friction  since  the  force  is  being  pointed  directly  at  the  object.  Friction  can  only  be  a  factor  when  the  force  is  in  motion  against  something,  but  in  this  case  its  just  standing  still  even  if  it  is  still  trying  to  move  against  it.

 As  far  as  I  can  tell  though..  There  isn't  much  else  to  say  that  can  possibly  occur  from  this  that  is  already  known..  Basically  all  I  can  answer  is  nothing  will  or  can  happen..
