 Hey  guys  ,  I  was  wondering  if  you  would  help  me  out  with  something?  I  have  been  having  some  trouble  saving  cfg's  in  quake  and  I  wanna  know  how  to  fix  it,  When  I  save  my  name  or  anything  .  ex.  /bind  k  name  lol  it  will  say  "Couldn't  write  q3config.cfg"  and  will  let  me  use  the  bind  untill  I  exit  out  of  quake  then  I  will  have  to  do  it  all  over  again.
 
      Please  Help?

 your  q3config.cfg  file  is  write  protected...
 
 un  protect  it..>in  windows  explorer  right  click  q3config.cfg  file..  under  attributes  unselect  read-only..
 
 done

 at  bottom  of  page  you  will  see  box  for  attributes,  read  only,  hidden..

 I  found  it  ,  and  read  only  wasn't  even  write  protected,  when  i  tryed  to  change  it  though  ,  it  says  ...  An  error  has  occurred  applying  atributes  to  this  file:  C:\Q3Ademo/demoq3/q3config.cfg  Access  is  denied.
 
 
   Maybe  you  can  make  some  shit  from  this,,  coz  i  cant

 try  loggin  in  as  the  Admin  and  try  again,
 something  is  is  taken  control  of  the  file  or  files  on  your  pc.
 
 it  should  be  accessible,  if  not  check  your  file  permissions..
 
 if  you  have  full  access  try  checking  for  viral  infection..
 
 Try  adding  read  only  attributes  then  reboot  then  again  take  it  off  and  reboot  then  check  to  see  if  it  clears...
