Oddly enough.. 2k server is still up and running.

I'm guessing Atomic must have pre-paid for up to 5 years? Laughing

Maybe play there instead of the razer garbage?

Crazy how that server is still going indeed.. Also I noticed that if you had downloaded Quake live prior to it becoming $10 on steam, you should have it for free. I didn't realize I had it already lol, but still seriously hate the hitbox system for railing. It is god awful.

I should have gotten it for free - but didn't. Very Happy

The QLive hitbox is tighter than Q3, but you do get used to it.   I gave up trying to use tank like I did in q3...

It's not hard for anyone from our scene to shoot 50% or better though.   The only downside is that I really hate fastrail now...

Well technically, that isn't the real problem with the hitbox. It is the way it severely lags behind at times, even more so than noghost. I have seen players record themselves shooting through enemies and making hits land way behind where the target was, so I know I am not the only one having had that issue.

Interesting - never had an issue with hitboxes lagging behind. Maybe playing with low fov reduces this effect... I use 90.

Always have.

I have clanmates that rail with 115+ fov that do not describe this issue at all, as well.

Weird... I don't get any of that at all when I play. Laughing

I know a lot of people bitched about the lag for the hitboxes when the game first starting coming out around 09ish but they did work to improve it. I mean, I do remember having to compensate a bit particularly in ICTF to hit the flag runners due to their movement speed.

However, in freeze most people are crouching around the map begging to be shot in the face. Very Happy

Same. I never have that issue when playing CA,TDM,FFA, etc.
