All  this  BF3  hype  on  the  other  thread,  anyone  excited  about  this  game?  Although  maybe  no  one  should  because  they  have  been  teasing  videos  for  like  3  years  now  and  developing  this  game  for  even  more.  Q1  of  2012  though  and  I  don't  expect  them  to  push  the  date  anymore.  I  predict  March  to  be  the  magical  month.  But  it's  best  to  have  a  finished  and  polished  game  rather  then  a  buggy  and  exploitable  one.

Some  videos  for  people  to  get  excited  about

 Some  Barb  Gameplay.

I'm  pretty  excited  for  a  proper  PvP  system  in  this  game.

 P.S.
Yes  I  got  a  new  computer  two  days  ago.  Little  late  but  I  ordered  BF3  of  Newegg  (they  still  got  Limited  Edition  for  $60).  Specs:  Radeon  6970,  i7  2600k,  1000w  psu,  8gb  ram...  Overkill  for  D3  since  even  my  old  4870  was  considered  medium-high  performance  for  the  game  but  I  like  when  the  game  poops  out  lots  of  FPS  though  =D

I  really  want  to  play  it  but  i'm  not  holding  my  breath  for  a  timely  release.  They  will  push  it  out  when  they  feel  its  ready.

No  doubt  about  that.  I  visited  the  Diablo  site  recently  and  they  mentioned  that  they  are  polishing  the  game  right  now.  They  also  mentioned  that  they  removed  some  extra  things  that  are  still  undeveloped  and  leaving  that  for  future  patches.  I  think  they  are  finally  finishing  up  the  game.  On  the  other  hand,  blizzard  is  obsessed  with  balancing  and  i  heard  the  rune  system  is  really  giving  them  a  headache.  Im  going  to  try  to  stay  optimistic  and  expect  it  mid-late  march  though.

Heh,  that  rune  system  they  have  reminds  me  almost  of  Magicka.  You  combine  a  rune  with  a  certain  attack  to  get  a  different  end  result.  Although,  they  only  allow  for  one  rune  at  a  time,  so  it  really  doesn't  go  as  in  depth.

I  guess  I  could  see  the  system  working,  although,  it  feels  almost  more  like  the  same  thing  happening  over  and  over  again.  I  would  actually  have  loved  it  more  if  they  could  allow  you  to  chain  attacks  into  some  other  type  of  unique  attack.

The  best  kind  of  gameplay,  in  my  opinion,  comes  from  a  game  where  certain  unique  secrets  can  be  found  and  learned  (even  from  the  very  beginning),  and  never  be  given  out  freely  so  someone  doesn't  know  what  to  expect  already.  Hence  the  advantages  of  battle  that  mark  the  difference  in  a  newbie  versus  a  pro.  Smile

I  see  what  you  are  saying  Kikyo  but  although  it's  not  as  in  depth  in  D3  as  you'd  like  it  to  be,  you  do  have  to  credit  Blizzard  for  giving  the  player  an  option  of  putting  up  to  ~6  different  runes  with  different  effects  to  EVERY  single  ability.  With  all  these  options,  even  if  some  seem  to  be  alike,  the  struggle  for  balance  in  PvE  and  PvP  seems  virtually  impossible.  That's  why  I  personally  think  the  release  date  is  being  pushed  forward  so  much.  If  they  added  the  complexity  of  your  idea,  balance  would  be  even  a  bigger  nightmare.

It  is  an  RPG  in  the  end  though  and  I  am  expecting  things  to  be  OP  and  UP  from  patch  to  patch.  You  will  always  have  your  Flavor  of  the  Month  (FotM)  class  which  will  slightly  dominate  over  most  before  it  gets  nerfed  and  the  next  class  takes  over  for  a  period  of  time.  I  just  hope  it's  the  Monk  at  first  when  the  game  is  released  because  that  seems  the  most  interesting  class  to  me  right  now.   Very Happy

How  about  you  guys?  What's  currently  your  class  choice?

That's  right  I  got  invited  to  the  Diablo  3  Beta  a  few  days  ago.   It's  pretty  ballin.   Feels  like  D2  with  out  all  the  stupid  stuff  that  made  it  annoying  to  play  sometimes.

So  far  I  finished  the  beta  which  is  just  a  part  of  Act  1  with  the  Demon  Hunter,  Monk,  and  Wizard.   I  loved  playing  Sorc  in  D2  so  I  am  biased  but  Wizard  was  my  fav  so  far.   Demon  Hunter  was  pretty  awesome  and  for  a  Melee  character  Monk  was  some  sweet  skills  to  deal  with  groups  at  a  time.   Going  to  finish  Barb  and  Witch  Doctor  next.   Barb  looks  boring  as  I  always  thought  he  was  boring  in  D2  and  Witch  Doctor  looks  like  fun.

Your  telling  me.   I  got  into  the  Battlefield  3  Alpha  and  then  Beta  early,  I  got  into  the  Tribes  Alpha  and  Beta,  and  now  into  this  Beta.

After  playing  all  the  classes  I  really  liked  them  all  which  is  something  I  could  never  say  about  D2.   Even  the  Barb  was  kinda  fun.   The  way  D3  plays  it  feels  faster  paced  and  allows  you  to  always  use  some  skills  to  power  up  the  stronger  skills  and  you  never  have  to  use  a   normal  attack.

 diablo  3  ftw!

I  got  in  as  well,  though  I  haven't  had  a  lot  of  time  to  play.

I  was  never  really  into  diablo  2,  but  this  one  seems  great.  The  controls  and  ui  are  easy  to  use,  and  even  with  no  experience  I  have  been  able  to  figure  everything  out  that  I  needed.

now  speaking  of  betas,  anyone  have  the  dota  2  beta?

You  needed  to  have  signed  up  on  your  battlelog  account  and  let  them  run  a  system  check.   I  signed  up  back  like  in  July/August  when  they  first  announced  it.

And  yes  everyone  knows  I  am  a  ninja.
