The game is absolutely fantastic. Has some bugs but those can be worked out.

Yeah Metro, Bazaar, Highway, and Crossing all suck and are close and infantry ridden. The rest though are very nicely done and I enjoy flying a lot more in this game then in BC2. They could have stood to have one or two more flags per map though. Kharg Island is absolutely amazing though and so Op firestorm and Caspian. Noshar needs a fix to the American stationary AA gun since it seems over the whole map but this is a great map for heli's. Davamand is fun when played correctly. The littlebird needs to spawn more though.

Caspian border being the biggest map is a bit of a joke.

In my opinion, it's one of the reasons:

- they cant make huge maps because it wouldnt run on consoles
- they're trying to step into call of duty: close quarter fighting territory
- they've made BC3 instead of BF3(ye, kinda big maps, but all the fighting goes on in 1 place)

Infantry combat on BF3 is awesome, dont get me wrong. Love it. But why make small maps with battles fought only in 20% of the map ? Why cant the maps be like 1942 or bf2, aka huge, with hot spots scattered around the whole map, instead of 1 hot spot (huge town) in the middle of the map, the way BF3 is ?

They've also mentioned DLC. Saying, there will be 3 times more DLC on BF3 than BC2 had. I hope they incorporate new vehicles, huge maps and other stuff there as well. That would be quite a sound decision from them, making the 1st version of the game on small maps, aka users dont have good hardware yet and only testing on first months, aka after they get a taste, they'll have time to upgrade, until the 1st DLC comes around.

I sure hope the maps get bigger, otherwise Im kickin someone in the nuts.

And what is the deal with jets on some maps ? Ceiling is so low, it's ridiculous.

If you pay attention the maps all have the respected number of flags from BF2 aka 7 plus the uncaps which makes 8 for Kakand, 9 for Oman and Sharqi and 6 for Wake.

All is good hopefully new DLC maps will be just as big. Can't wait.

Well, my CD has just arrived. And new PC is arriving only next week.
Gonna wait for it ;P

PS: I haven't really played BF3 maps, but watch a sh*t ton of youtube vids. It seems like they're starting out with small maps and will be heading for bigger ones with DLC. Suuure hope so.
