haha, brinks pretty cool. It doesnt count your kills, it's all objective based. Pretty much like ET. To be honest its really fun, but iunno how competition will be, should be really interesting. Was pretty last night servers were crashing and stuff. Seem like the games running better today. Even though its kinda like tf2, it has that cod feel to it

Played this game for 30 minutes today, and I have to say, there's really nothing special about it. Nothing to grab on, nothing interesting.

It seems like all you do is run towards your objective, slide a bit on the ground pressing -crouch-, and that's it. You can climb over the boxes in parkour style perhaps, which is just a simple climb with fancy camera movement. Perhaps you can jump -off the walls or something, I dont know, but as far as I've played, didnt manage to do that. I know, all I've played was against bots in the campaign, but putting 500 bullets into one, and not seeing him die rose one of my eyebrows. When the eyebrow came down, the game was already in the recycle bin, because in the meantime it gave me some muzzle_flash.something errors. OH YEAH, IMA PATIENT BOY FOR THOSE.

"freedom" of movement is nothing in comparison to quake3, there's really nothing special. This may be just my opinion, the game does look good graphicly, but imo - not worth any money to be spent on.

I can't believe you played against bots and uninstalled? Why? The singleplayer is abysmal it's basically Quake 3 singleplayer(multiplayer with bots).

The game is a great multiplayer game. It's nothing like CoD. Nothing like it at all. It's basically Enemy Territory 3. Me and Stoner have been playing the hell out of it. Feels real old school while while being something fresh. If your a camper or loan wolf you will however hate this game and that's where all the bitching is about. The COD Hammer Legion Members can't get over the fact that there is no K/D in the game and you need to play together to accomplish something. Objectives are tough to take and there are no easy victories. Everyone has a lot of health and are hard to take down. Don't take command posts and your teammates suffer with low health. Don't take secondary objectives or block them the enemy team rushes though them. There is no instant death homing melee attack button. And then at higher ability levels the game can get real hectic. Kill everyone at the objective but the R5 medic and then he goes and revives the whole team in a less then a second. Game is old school tough and feels like every other Splash Damage game. THe Parkour stuff does take a back seat but it can be really fun when u pull off a wall hop and shove a clip into someone.

Easy 9/10

I've just typed a wall of text where I agree and disagree with you, and it's gone. MYSQL error or smth lol.

Anywhat, if you guys like tense team-action, try flying helicopters in Battlefield games, youtube it, it's huge fun. I've had an experience once, with complete strangers in mi-24 hind (almost sounds like behind :D) One guy drove the chopper, I was the gunner behind the cannon, one guy was fixing it in the back with engineers' tools and another was shooting his rpg through the door. We didn't go down ONCE the whole game, I got something like 63-0 at the end of the game, and the other team was flooding the chatwindow with whatever the words they found, starting with "cheaterssssssss omg how do you not take damage" etc. etc.

Was the most fun moment in any game, since my first adrenaline rush in quake3.

Played the hell out of Battlefield 2 and recently Bad Company 2.

Both games are a lot of fun and Battleifeld 3 will be as well but they are not team oriented game.   Snipers tend to go lone wolf and if 2 or 3 of them do you will not win the game.   Battlefield games have objectives that can be done by any class which means people will sit there and play the class they feel can get the most kills and never give out health or ammo.

Sniper Wookie:   No thanks I R SNIPERER I only look though my scope am located halfway across the map and have 150 points.   BUT I LOOK COOL!!!!

As you can see from my stats by clicking dogtags I have stabbed over 1300 people in that game.   I guarantee that 50% of them were bush wookie snipers that I made pay for being retards.   Proof of this is that I have stabbed Benjam1n aka Doomsday from our Quake 3 days 14 times.   He is an ultra camper in these games.

That's the problem with those games.

Ya, I guess it's usual in USA to call snipers wookies :D
And I thought it was something Ravic made up. Do you know him ? Love his yourub channel :D

What I have noticed, is that battlefield is very different in europe, in comparison with usa. It really is...There are sniper campers, but they actually do A LOT of damage and help out quite some, and there is often lots of fixing/sabotage_against_enemy_tanks etc. action.

Ravic's got entire video series in "Heavy metal" map, where he goes around the map with a jeep, killing wookies from behind. Lmao they dont even hear him.
I've tried that myself - failed on every single attempt.

I'll add you everywhere, lmao, as soon as I get my battlefield keys back, currently they're lost somewhere in the wilderness (had to change e-mail, and EA's system sucks when you have to do that, so now it's thinkin I've never bought a singe BF game).

But really, guys, the only way we can play together is probably via q3demo ;<

I've played Bad Company 2 a bit too, around 250 hours, just enough to pub-stomp all day. I'm a TDM player there, I just hate playing Rush with idiot teammates.

From what I understood, Brink is like Halo, which means you've gotta play for the win, since K/D doesn't matter at all. You get a couple idiot teammates who just want to fool around and you've lost. I'm not a fan of these, they usually make me rage. They're perfect for competitive play I must agree, but one must quickly find a clan before to get bored of the game.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to gaming with any of you, as o2o

was the best gaming time I've ever had.

I am convinced the Brink is balls to the walls awesome now.

Just played a great game where we got to the last objective   Basically grab the briefcase and bring it to the copter.   I play light body type medic and my buddy is right behind me.   He boosts my speed I chuck a grenade into the briefcase room and watch as the enemies poor out.   I run in past them, suck up the damage from my own nade and grab the briefcase.   My buddy dies but they don't know I am there and I run past them.   They start firing at me as I hit the corner of a secondary objective where their team could block my team by building a barricade.   Run right past the dude building it with like 4 dudes chasing me.   As soon as I passed him he finished building the barricade blocking them from getting to me.   Absolutely hysterical pretty much moon walked to the chopper at that point.

Game is loads of fun and it doesn't even require good players.   Just people willing to play their class correctly.   Pubs are a lot of fun regardless of your team.

I also have a SSD but I don't install games on it. I get 70-80 FPS with everything maxed out.

Woah, a decent rig. That's probably why you enjoy the game more than I did - all I could get was ~50ish fps on everything low.

So yeah, mine's just HD4870, and e8400 upped to 3.6

Eh..Why dont they make a console with a mouse and keyboard, and normal ability to browse forums and stuff, so that communities would form. Look how long PS3 lasted, they're probably going to announce PS4 soon, but still -- .
