Those black bars are dangerous! They're too tempting to scroll your mouse over! Can you make it so you have to highlight it for the text to show up? Just a suggestion.

Wow that spoiler display onmouse idea was fantastic! First time seeing that used. I think it rocks. By the way, I noticed that having text just beneath a box quote seems to overlap just a slight bit. I just wanted to point that out. Very Happy

While a good suggestion its a bit hard for noobs to get. They see a black bar and derp. The mouse-over was a compromise to the highlighting. Basically I'm making the site useful for even my mom to get. If she can use it and not be lost I think I've won the game.

If it does become a larger issue I will change it to highlighting because it is a good alternative.

I'm still working on the quote and code boxes to play nicly. I think I might have to put a empty div with clear both tags to get the spacing right.

The .

.Arcade. saw a metric ton of updates today. Styling, major code changes, few new games added; lets just say it finally got the attention it needed. It was a port to begin with and looking at the code for it, it really showed.

I will keep adding games to it until the new theme launches as well. Head on over there for a quick game break, quarters not required Wink

lets see where to start. Over the past few days RSS feeds got fixed, a few backend changes had to happen for that. Hopefully I didn't break any bbcode doing it. Theme got some changes obviously. I really want to do a galaxy theme but man, it is really hard to think of a space theme when so many have already been done.

I'm a little burnt out on trying to think of a theme when I don't even have a target game for us to get into. There are close to 40 images that need to be integrated into this new theme but without a target game theres little direction. So for the time being i'm going zombies. everybody loves zombies right? Its almost as much as everyone loves killing bugs. which i must admit was my #2 option xD. Space bugs! lolol oh man im going crazy.

Needed to check out annon privileges and stuff so I decided to push the site live today. There is minimal traffic during the hours i'm working on the site anyway so errors shouldn't pop up much for you guys.

The News RSS feed was also fixed, for some reason it wasnt striping the line breaks from the code so they were showing up in the feed. weird. I wonder how long it was like that. Embarassed

more backend changes went on as I came across stuff that needed it. but mostly started the image and gfx end. I looked at adding .png smilies but that would require a significant overhaul that i'll save for another day. Mostly looked at every image and went through which ones are getting changed and which to delete completely.

Any artists out there want to contribute or even if you want to point out a image you think should get a change, post and let me know Wink

More edits, the new user registration process is no longer weird looking. Sorry new user Sushi for the weirdness you had to go through. Only did I notice it today as I went through my unregistered user checklist. Man theres a few things I've been going through that were all sorts of funky. Got most of them fixed a few areas are still needing work.

The zombie theme was expanded a bit more today and will see more integration tomorrow. You can see what the theme looks like in its compact state by looking at this link. Makes the zombies look like they are coming at you through he fog xD

More tomorrow, & play some arcade games if you get bored!

Lots more changes went on today as well as a server switch. We moved to a shared 16 logical core machine with 32gb of ram on a gigabit network... just rolls off the tongue.

For site updates, got rid of the side box borders to give it a cleaner look but kept them on the news boxes and footer for better separation. A ton of small images saw updates so you might have to refresh your browser or clear your cache for some of them to show up. More on this later when the forum images start getting changed out.

added better IE compatability... I know I said that IE was completely dropped but instead I've decided that it will work just let it be square with positions at least correct. Most the site follows this, still working on the forum to comply.

yea font size was better smaller. /reverted. I'll try and think of a better solution to the borders, they were standing out a bit to much before.
