I  don't  think  OC'ing  is  a  way  to  say  you  are  better  than  someone  when  it  comes  to  games.

It's  pretty  much  just  pushing  your  system  to  the  limits,  just  for  fun  and  self  satisfaction.

This  topic  was  just  a  guide  nonetheless.  I  am  starting  to  think  that  you,  ToG,  are  taking  the  wrong  impression.  Which  was  totally  not  my  intention  at  all.  I  just  thought  it  would  be  interesting  to  see  a  guy  build  a  nice  computer  on  a  video.  So  sorry  if  there  is  any  confusion  about  that  =(

naw  it  dosent  make  me  better,  but  it  makes  me  feel  like  i  beat  the  system  xD

and  another  thing,  overclocking  a  WRT54G  router  was  the  smartest  thing  ive  done.  That  router  has  so  much  unused  power/features  its  a  shame  they  dont  have  a  offical  firmware  with  everything  on  it.  But  then  again  thats  how  they  make  money,  they  just  slap  another  model  #  on  it  and  charge  $80  more  but  its  the  same  hardware.  -_-

Overclocking  a  router?  Like  the  thing  that  connects  mutiple  computers  to  the  net?
TELL  ME  YOUR  SECRETS!  I  got  6  fcken  computers  connected  to  net.  If  my  bro  is  downloading  movies  my  ping  goes  300+...  Its  total  bs  how  the  laptop  steals  so  much  kbps  while  I  can  be  downloading  shitload  of  things  on  my  downstairs  PC  and  I  sill  have  a  good  ping.

http://openwrt.org/  the  only  thing  is  im  only  used  to  messing  with  linksys  routers.  Im  not  too  sure  if  theres  other  firmware  hacks  out  there  for  your  router.  another  nice  one  is  http://www.thibor.co.uk/  which  used  the  same  stock  web  interface  but  dosent  give  you  the  amount  of  options  that  openwrt  does.

oh  and  thtas  not  your  router  thats  prob  your  internet  upload  being  maxed  out.
