havent read the topic yet but:
unlike the sheep test, there is no penalty for anticipating clicks even if its too soon :P

also do any of you actually use the older CRT monitors that don't actually have a delay in response time? My good monitor broke ageees ago and haven't bought a new once since not saying that a ~5ms time advantage or whatever all your monitors take is a huge advantage but every little helps ya know

jo, my point is that it still doesnt apply valid human reaction time and it isn't comparable to q3 skills: shoot earlier in q3 and you probably end up hitting a wall or gonna get super lucky and hit first pixel of enemy hitbox. I agree that this is bad test though, maybe do average 20 in tests that also count failiures.

I asked Chance (Quake 3 / Quake Live professional player) to do the same test (out of 20)

18:39:03 [EG|chance] 192.94 with my lowest at 164
18:39:04 [EG|chance] out of 20

I don't really think that their reaction skills are better than chance's who probably have 10x more gameplay hours.

should stop giving a shit what other clans think, the clan has been around long enough to make their own decisions and not let what other people think change the ways we recruit people.

But if dropping merky from our roster is what will allow us to keep scrimming our remaining competition (lol, competition), then so be it.

Merky is a fantastic player and I'm sad we let him go. But the scrubs can use whatever excuse they want to not play us so they don't look terrible or more terrible than they already are.

I honestly don't understand why you guys removed Merky/Hydro (although I hear hydro was being a bit hott-headed at times, but that's simply hearsay).

People act like this is the first time a clan achieved a status of being so "stacked" even clans that expected to give them a close game got crushed usually...

It wasn't that long ago people had the misery of being spanked by slink/ray/chronic/hydro/night/etc etc with vT - did people raise eyebrows?   yes, at times.

Did people bitch out to the point they stopped playing them?   No..

Prior to that we all had the joys of the "eRa reign".   It wasn't usually very fun to deal with classic/jorel/naruto/zenith/batard/meva/ray/halo/etc etc
Did people claim hax at times?   Yes.   Do people still believe some of them hack?   Sure.   Has one of them been proven to be a hacker in hiding for the past few years (lol)?   Yes.

I don't even think I have to go into the horror oNu was for basically every clan in our community, probably the closet thing to "perfection" a clan will see in this game and this point release.

I know lots of people thought they hacked, they were so far ahead of the game with config tweaking and shit that the fact cgame wasn't a common thing back then didn't even matter.   They didn't just beat people, they obliterated them.   Yet back then people saw it as a challenge, and could accept the fact a clan was simply on a higher level than themselves.

Now I guess since the community only has 10 or 11 legitmate clan presences lesser clans feel they can simply block out 1 of their peers simply because they claim cheats w/o having any real sufficient proof to support these claims.

No, I don't live under a rock.   Everyone who has been on a Noghost Forum the past few years knows there has been plenty written about Merky and a few people made it a personal witchhunt to prove he isn't for real.   I'm someone who has always been stuck in the middle.   There's reason to suspect him, nobody can deny that.   Key made this point once before, and sha reiterated it here though.   To be that dead on with his angling for his railjumps on such a consistant basis makes it somewhat easy to also believe he can be that consistant when he's firing at enemies as opposed to walls to launch him into the previously mentioned railjumps.

The comical part about this whole mess is people were crying that o2o

hax even before the whole merky/hydro experiment. From an outside perspective it just seems this was the opportunity those who were doing the crying were waiting for. You haven't proved calie hax (if he does). You haven't proved zypher hax (if he does). Other than those 2 I cannot recall anyone bringing any o2o

members up in accusations. Then Merky comes along and these same people accusing zypher and calie feel they are finally justified in blacklisting o2o

on their scrimlists. Speaking as a member of a clan who probably has the biggest Do Not Scrim List in q3, that's just weak. Some people in UE don't trust certain members of o2o

, but we don't stop playing the entire clan. Which leads me say the clans that signed off on the intial post by Lebron just needed a reason, any reason to stop playing o2o

with those 2 apart of it. It couldn't be any worse than playing the 3 previous clan examples I used earlier in the posts. Guess this is what the community is now; lots of kids that don't want a challenge and when one arrives they have difficulty overcoming they simply say, "they cheat, we won't play them".

So glad I'm finally on my way out of this mess we call a community.

Oh, and as a response to Classic on UE forums (I can't register there because I'm pretty sure po would ban me :> ):

If you consider that concrete evidence, the evidence that key posted that was "pruned" from era forums was 10x more damning. You cannot use that evidence to consider merky a hacker without letting the entire community know that you used a hack and dropped.

So how concrete do you think that evidence is now?

Reaper...the fact that you brought it all down to the point that all 3 clans are simply scared to get owned...is just funny and IMO is the easiest explanation of the situation as it could be... so at some point its stupid, because its too dam easy.
It is sucks to loose ...not gonna lie. Its just too obvious...but I've been playing against o2o

for years now. Why would i all of a sudden change my mind? If you can see only one side of the story...than you cant judge correctly.

We stop playing them until April. So you can relax...no one said about stop playing them at all.
Calie/rjit - they were not banned or kicked - we don't trust them and wont scrim them (at least me) - haven't talk to the members yet.
