These are troubled times in .16.
The .16 community(USservers) is prolly around 100 or so people that play this game on the daily..then another 100 that don’t play much mixed with noobs.
When a ban list comes out with more ips then people that really make the community up.. its bad. Yes, after you factor in dynamic ips its prolly 150 ips.
But still..we are quite a small community these days..

God.. I remember back in my rail freeze days having to admin the "kfc noghostnocheat"(2001ish) server I had my hands full working we where prolly banning 4 people a week for about 2 years.But the community at that time,(03ish) which we all knew we where a fraction of the size of .32,was still twice or even three times the size of what it is today..anyway the community could with stand it.

Everyone that's been around in this community for several years knows .16 has always been the wild west for the hacking community. This place is virtually a training ground for coders and private hax clans. When someone makes a new cheat for q3 they have always come to .16 to test and showcase it. People have been playing with haxs on and off in the ver since the beginning. This will never change.

I've played with people from day one for YeaRs.. just to find out they get dropped in .32 or here in .16 even..it sucks to find out someone you spend countless hours online gaming turns out to be taking advantage of you the whole time without your knowledge of. The only thing we have to clinch on to in .16 is our image. It’s the only thing that “proves” a player here due to no proper cheat protection. That’s just fucking flawed from the start.
There WONT EVER be a way to Honestly ever know for sure what a persons case is.

.16 is right now and has been a SiCk fucking cycle of   people that get caught cheating and   end up changing their name and come back into the community or craw back on their knees asking for forgiveness and people accept it. Why is that? Well shit.. Its clearly cuz people realize these days how much of an affect that one person has on the community...and well.. can you really blame the community for it? In .16 you get to the point of having a serious shortage of trustworthily people.   If this happened even 5 years ago(that's still 4 after release date) everyone would be bant no questions asked.

So as the better .11-16 gets with anti cheat the more the community suffers from it(wtf :s)... and can the .16   afford that as a community? No.
Let me rephrase that..the Noghost community..Because that is what it is now. If mavs mod never took off the way it did .16 would have died along with the rest of the Failed point releases.

The only thing that really makes any logical sense is that Maverick along with every larger scale clan based family in .16 all decide to just END this once and for all. I mean wtf is Mavs goal .16 anymore? If he cared about the community he would end this cuz there isnt any positive outcome for it. The more any one person thinks about we are just all mavs pwns here adding to his ego or what the fuck ever he gets out of noghost in .16. (Not a personal attack against you mav)

You have to ask yourself.. Why do I even subject myself to all this? Is the fucking net code in .16 that much greater?
The fact that I realize this and know this to be true fucking irritates the shit out of me. In fact the more I think about it the more disgusted I get with myself for playing and supporting .16 for as long as I did. AS YOU SHOULD..

This (.16) point release is FLAWED everyone that takes .16 seriously is FLAWED.
.16 community is nothing but uneducated , unprofessional wanta be pro gamers that are just trying to get a handle on what e-sports is all about.

To everyone that read this and feels they take .16 seriously .. You owe it to yourself to stop playing this ver of q3. Move on with your life and get with the "Real" program. You will never be truly happy in this Failed ver of quake 3.

Ready to move on with your life? Want to get serious about Quake 3 and plug into the Real community?
Or are you content with this endless cycle of unlogical, unethical   pointless existence in .16.

you got really some balls posting that shit here. but you have no fucking clue how many people still play this version. i mean only look at europe, the clanbase cup has like 24 active clans. and people are scrimming everyday.
also people love the mod, there is no noghost on 1.32.
and on 1.32 are cheaters like here. nothing better.

ya your right europe has always been behind us in q3.
Better yet look at Mavs ban new ban list and look at the ip locations i think i can count the number of ips in the americas on my fingers outa like 100.Ya, person ive never heard of.. i have no idea who plays q3. lol?

I only play for fun as well jesus. What I am trying to do here is get people to try and realize .16 is broken and cant ever be fixed. I must have over 15,000 hours of game time in .16 cuz of my love for this game. I notice you live in Dc? What part? I'm in Adam's Morgan. we should meet up for a coffee/beer and we can talk more about it.

My point is to get people to realize its totally useless to take .16 seriously. Thats my point.. that includes taking cheating seriously as well.

why make a clan site? why play an old unfinished ver of q3 for so long?
