I have decided it be best if a poll were placed up here to take a toll on what everyone might have to say about Era.. If this happens to be posted in the wrong section, please do move it to where it should belong.

Want to know something funny? I got banned from era forums just for agreeing with a silly little joke.. Others have also been banned from the forums just for taking a stand on the matter at hand.. Anyhow I believe it is time we decided their fate.. After all, it only seems fair that we should take a vote when all they are doing is trying to prevent themselves from getting into any more trouble.. We can't just let them slip away again like they have always done.. It just doesn't seem right.. So what will it be? Take your stand here where no era can delete your posts.. I know I will..

i vote yes but really dont care, i only say yes because of there immaturity to the matter at hands and they kinda just have a sorry attitude which is negative for there clan and community around them which they think they are helping.

Banning me and anyone else to prevent trouble will only get you more hatred.. Unless you still have not gotten that through your head yet.. As much as I love to see .eRa| squirm, I choose to not have them banned.   Sure they are idiots and don't deserve any chances to change, but as time goes on they could realize what kind of people they have become.   After abusing their 'power' and trying to hide hacking or whatever the situation is, they have shown there is something bad in every 'good'.   Some of these people are not bad - just misled, or ignorant/arrogant of their actions.   If we take the chance to let them better what they have done wrong the situation may end up better than it is at the moment.

        Hacking isn't the main concern here.   As long as they don't hack now, nobody should care.   Ex-Hackers.   There are tons of them.   People fuck up - some people do not.   Even if they hacked before that doesn't mean they don't deserve a chance to prove they don't hack and gain some sort of status in this community.

There is a basic system of order in this community:

              Old School
              New School
              Idiots
              Cheaters
              Ex-Cheaters

   Recently if somebody gets busted they get a slap on the wrist, but if they make a big deal about it, it becomes more than just a fuck up.   It becomes a situation in need of attention or the regaining of trust.   People with attitudes wind up being never forgiven for fucking up.   It doesn't matter if you fuck up with anything, as long as you are willing to put forth the effort to change or make it better.

     I would personally love to see .eRa| fold as it will stop some major abuse in this community for everyone.   We're not the only ones being abused by power.   If somebody is mad - they retaliate.   I saw a great example of this recently.   Dremz decided that Society used unsuitable language in his server.   As the server admin he decided to ban Society.   Society 'retaliated' and tried to get Dremz banned from o2o

and cTr server(s), even when Society clearly did something wrong.   Some people just take things the wrong way, or take it in too harsh.   We target .eRa| as much as they target us.   Whenever we fight back, they fight back as well.

     .eRa| is full of members who are (were) great friends of mine.   Everyone changes because they are afraid of Classic not liking them, or something will happen to them if they don't defend their leaders' decisions.   Wolf took the liberty of leaving .eRa| because he was unhappy with the way it was run.   Wolf is a good player with a great attitude that changed so dramatically when he joined .eRa|.   After he left he became his old self.   This isn't .eRa|'s fault, its the person who changed's fault.   Had they not decided against their better judgment in being cool to be around and turned into a shit hole trying to impress their leaders to get in, .eRa| would probably be a better group of people as well.   As people change for their clan, the clan changes for everyone else.   What was once a 'friend' is now an enemy.   Even though you were the one who supported them in joining and not to give up, they act as though you should be jealous that its not you in .eRa|.

      Because of these types of people in a clan together, it is easy to hate that clan.   Many people hate .eRa| including me.   As I said before, "You can only judge a chain by its weakest link."   The same is true for a clan.

      I believe .eRa| should dissolve so everyone can get better.   I am sure there is some good still left in all of the members in .eRa| (not specifically targeting anyone; nor am I saying everyone was bad) and I believe we can help them reveal their 'good side' by not banning them.   If we can just play together, non-competitively, I know we can forget about all of this bull shit that has been happening in the past years.   .eRa| was good, but one of the responsibilities of a good clan is to know when its time to stop, like #1.

      After this long post I have come to the conclusion that if we don't ban .eRa| we are showing that we actually are giving them the second chance that they denied so many people.   Some people had some arguments against them simply making them aware of a problem or situation.   These people were shut down.   My post count on the .eRa| forums is 144.   I guarantee that amount is about half of the posts I have really made regarding my feelings toward .eRa|.   If they had listened instead of taking our healthy criticism,   we probably wouldn't be in this situation at the moment...

Too limited choices. No vote. :P

If there was a definite proof of hacking it would be yes.

Smells like a start of a war. Will the small community
be able to survive a split? Who knows... At least now both
of your clans fight hackers, and blaming each other is no
good. Only hackers win this war. And more tools will think
"eRa hacks so will I". So blaming w/o 100% proof is no good.

HOWEVER: Classic, banning people from forums for personal
reasons is not acceptable. Era forums as I see them are #1
forums for 1.16 rf tdm. If you want to make them private
it's your choice, but you are hurting the community.

Now, if you think that Meganoob faked these logs you are free to do it. (but why he wouldn't have made a perfect match, or a name match)

Anyways, I checked those IP's on SS|Desire:

...

There is almost an exact match. Only 6 digits from the fisrt and 4 from the second. As Birdman posted there are some other people in the same IP range (ranges are very big, of course there are players in it), but NOONE else in the same SUB-RANGE (which is more limited and more specific), and as far as I remember NOONE except them has BOTH IP ranges, which is a very additional info.

I then checked SS|Desire logs again, and could trace the cheater to 13th July 2005. I checked for the brothers IP in July 2005, to see if they played that day.
With a surprise they didn't play that day. You will think that this is normal, but I checked all July, and they played EVERY single day of July, except that one, and another.
...

Summary of proofs:

a1) Chances of a player playing only 1 day in July, exactly when you didn't: 6,5% (math is not an opinion)
a2) Chances of a player NEVER playing on SS| servers the whole year, playing one day, and cheating:, then never playing again: 0,27%
b) IP1 match: 99,9%
c) IP2 match: 99,9%
d) Other players in the sub-range normally: 0
e) Players using a similar smiley name in the same period: 1 (Classic)
f) Chances to prove that it wasn't them IF it wasn't them (a log of them that day would have helped) 93,5%

Now combine all the evidence, and the probability gets close to 99,999% (Use statistics laws).
Also, check many players that got banned from eRa for IP range catches, they have been banned with much less proof.

Lol, Elmo and Archer deserve a second chance, but the other 3 don't. Attitudes can gain, or loose a lot in this community and Elmo and Archer have way different attitudes than Classic, Bird, and Hater do.
