Just thought I'd let you peeps know what I was doing for the past week. And what I won't be doing the rest of this month and most of next month (due to final exams, projects, and the Texas standardized test -_-).

Best Free MMORPG

Maple Story

Easily the toughest category to choose this year since the Free MMORPG industry is stronger than ever and several major games are establishing themselves as clear leaders. In fact, all 3 runner-ups can make a strong claim for the award. However, Maple Story edges by the other 3 due to upsetting RuneScape in the MMORPG Showdown tournament, unique graphics and game play for the genre, and strong worldwide popularity.

This game is SO MUCH fun!!!!
MapleStory is the poor-person's WoW (without being a second-rate game!). It may not have as much complexity or options as other games but who cares?! =============================================================

Gameplay: 11/10

Yup i gave it 11! This game is incredible fun! What you do is you make a character (it sucks that there is only 6 distinguishable options) and you start on Maple Island as you help the citizens of the island and level up. You then go to Victoria Island where you get your job advancement as a Warrior, Magician, Thief or Bowman. To play, all you do is press Ctrl to attack and Alt to jump. You can also hot-key various items to various keys.

Graphics: 8.5

The graphics may be 2-D but it looks anime-ish and cel-shaded. In other words, the graphics are good as far as 2-D goes.

Ok ill admit the music is cartooney. But whether its the urban music of Kerning City to the dark mysterious music of Sleepywood, the music grows on you. The sounds tho, like weapons swooshing in the air or a *SPLAT* when a snail dies, feel well placed.

Over 450 different monsters to kill
Events every now and then

Takes about half a year of hardwork to get to those levels tho :P

Maplestory ain't gay! You just haven't tried it -_-. Rappelz sucks, it shouldn't even be in the runner ups :P Maplestory>Rappelz. There are hundreds of 3d mmorpg's, they all basically look the same, but maple story's gameplay and look is unique in it's own sexy way.

Do not go play Maple Story. If you are sick of cheaters in Quake then you have no idea what you are putting yourself through when you move to Maple.

I wanted to play that game one day but after a week I saw more hacks then I thought it is possible. How? You can actually edit the server client in ways.

Some cheats I noticed

God mode. Yes literally you can be standing there with the biggest baddest boss right there and he won't kill you. I swear to god this is possible.

Vac mode? Its called vacuum or vac dunno. If you go to a cave and the entire cave is filled with monsters you can "vacuum" them all to your location.

Scamming people. I've been scammed in the game so many times. When people show off their equipment by putting it on the ground people can also vacuum that right into their inventory.

Bots. I've seen this more then I said fuck in my life. (Sarcasm but still a lot)
God mode+vac+auto attack. People will literally stay in one place on the map vacuuming all the monsters having them to come to their locations and killing them and with god mode they don't get hurt so they can leave the PC on forever.

DO NOT PLAY THE GAME. ITS CHEATER MANIA YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!
Runescape same shit, so many scammers...

Go play Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, or Rappelz if you REALLY need to play an MMORPG.

Yeah, that's one downside to the game nike, ever since Nexon took over, hackers have been running around doing w/e they want; they don't even get a permanent ban for hacking anymore -_-
I just try my best to avoid teh hackers, which isn't that hard since they're afraid of you more than you're afraid of them. (they change channels whenever you come) Very Happy

I tried MS with gay Sha, but it was really shitty and gay so I stopped -_-. Rappelz sucks too, and so does Runescape. Smile
