Why is it I have to write in order to gain a clear mind
Does the ink in my pen have to run dry before the answers I find
Do my sentences have to rhyme before someone understands my plans
and do I have to have a tittle about every single rotten clan
Does my printing have to be neat in order for you to see
everything about me, who I am, who I be?
Have I written enough poems for you to figure me out
enough words of what i do , or what i'm all about
What if my fingers cramped up and I couldn't write no more
would you understand the real me, or have I written that before?
Do you question why I always write about the same things and never expand on something new?
Have you thought, its all I know what do you expect me to do?
Write about me being happy or how the sky is so blue
or just keep writing about my life while you still question WHO?
Do I stop writing here with the satisfaction of my mind being clear
am i near to having no fears,will I still continue to have nightmares
that ink didn't exsist, through every poem you miss then visualize
the meaning behind it so therefore you analyze it and criticize
I've tried hard to please, worked even harder to impress
held my head high whenever I was going through some stress
Held back my tears, swallowed my spit
clenched my fists when I knew I didn't fit
I've kept on walking, turned my head away
kept my thoughts inside when I had a hard day
I'm all full of hate with no where to go
no one to turn to, theres no one I know
This smile on my face is so far from true
when deep down indside if you only knew
I try hard to express while not wanting anyone to see
i've begged for just one person to understand the real me
