It's the same as BC2 press the Q key to spot. If you use it on teammates it calls for ammo or health.

There will be a command rose like previous BF games but only for PC and it will not be available until Retail.

Good call. I was using q but wasnt sure if it was even working because spotting isnt like the diamond wallhack in bf2 and bf2142 haha. I assume when i was clicking q on my medic teammates, they were just dumb or clueless and didnt react.

I played last night for a bit, couldn't help but notice a few unusual bugs. For example, there was one spot where I could lay on the ground and see through it. Lol was like wallhacking because I could tell what was going on behind the wall.

Also, I am wondering where I might mess with the graphical settings. They have it setup where you can quickly join a match but that was about all I could see, yet it sounds like you can change settings.

My laptop runs the game a lot better than I expected, although, when I got into the subway, there were times when my game lagged to hell and I could hardly move, but I really don't think that is due to my graphics card, or shouldn't be as it was fine at certain times and would just suddenly stop my character from hardly going anywhere (Not usual for a gfx card).

Edit: I just located the generic beta driver from nvidia which does support my gfx card and going to see how much it improves the overall performance. Smile

The game does have its bugs here and there but that's what is expected of beta... or should I say all of Battlefield games before first patch. Let's be honest here, this beta came out WAY too late to be used fix any bugs . I assume alpha was their actual beta and the beta is used now to fix any bugs next patch.

EDIT UPDATE

I just played the beta on Xbox.

Mega, unless its for your own personal use, don't bother looking for PC deals for me. I'm going to have to wait for the full release of the game before I make up my mind about spending $1k for a new rig. The game is good but it doesn't have that BF2 or BF2142 feel for me. Deep down it still feels like BC2. I'll wait for the full release, check out more features of the game, play a little bit at my friends house, and then decide if it's worth it. My biggest fear now is that this game won't stick with me like the old school Battlefields and as a result, I would just go back to playing Call of Duty (on console).

The game doesn't look much worse on the Xbox and as we all know, it's not about the graphics but the gameplay. That's why we played Quake 3 for years. This is why this game must impress me a bit more because as of right now, the enjoyment per dollar ratio is not enough for me to spend such money EVEN WITH consideration of Diablo 3 and other PC releases.

Played BF3 beta as well. Yep, buggy. Outdoors ~50 fps, inside ~70. Feels quite smooth to be honest, everything put on low, still looks quite nice (1024x768).

It's really quite a game. Metro map is very shallow, CoD'ish, but still got a taste out of it. Some weapons (dont want to say, but), seem overpowered a bit. People Sniping with UMP across the map, and losing to UMP with M16 or ak74 in ranged fights gave me the eyebrows, but I soon cured that with Dragunov semi-auto sniper. What a beast that weap. is, my god. Went 56-9 one map (claps claps claps D Smile

Anywhat, Im wondering - how do you become a commander/leader in your squad ? That somehow eludes me. And Im now somehow wondering how would the BF2 commander mode pan out in BF3, seems like an awesome feature.

P.S.: From the vids, caspian border seems boring Very Happy

I wonder, are they going to add bullets travel time / gravity, such as in BFBC2? I wish for that very badly, as it's the only thing which seperates Battlefields from CoD's, in my opinion. If they don't, I might just go back to BC2. The side of effect of that, however, is the fact people will opt for explosives, such as grenade launchers and rockets, since they don't understand how the game mechanics work and will claim that the hit markers are bad. I believe that this is what separated the noobs from the experienced players. If they don't add this feature, any sprayer will eventually get a kill, just like in CoD.

I know that in real life, people do spray and kill. But this is a video game. Counter-Strike was not a realistic game, yet it was the most played FPS for a long time. If you sprayed in CS, you sucked.
